Hi Hamish,
There are so many of these portable devices these days it just goes to show popular they have become and with the prices coming down they are becoming more available to people.
As a product creator this is great news to me as it means that the market is growing
I haven’t bought one myself yet and don’t really intend to as the wife would go potty if I came away from the PC and got an eReader out
But like I said they’re really becoming more and more popular which is excellent news for us that create the eBooks

Hello Barry,
Thanks for dropping by.
Judging by the rate at which these devices are being adopted, the market for your ebooks and video tutorials must be growing at some speed.
Wow! I am excited about this! =) I’ve been meaning to splurge and buy myself a Kindle or a Nook this Christmas when I’m back in Vancouver, so I can get access to English books here in Peru! One thing I definitely miss is my library of books! =)
And I had no idea that these would potentially have access to email and the like too. Technological wonders! =)
Thanks for sharing this with us, Hamish! =)

Hello Samantha,
Thanks for the comment. Maybe someone will treat you to a nice reader when you’re home at Christmas. Send them to this blog and they can read your comment – if you haven’t given them the hint yet!
I spent a couple of years in Brazil – and I wish that I’d had my Kindle then. Getting English books was possible, but not easy – or fast.
I now want an e-reader–though print books are my favorite–and just need to decide between the Kindle and the Nook. Great info; glad I saw this post.

Hey Leslie,
Thanks for stopping by. I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Both the Kindle and the Nook are great devices. To be honest, if you buy a lot of books from Amazon, I would get the Kindle – and if you buy from B&N, then the Nook would be a good choice.
Either way, enjoy.
Very good post. I’m sure lots of people are confused with all these new devices coming on to the market. Nice blog you’ve got here. Do you fancy doing a guest post on my ebooks blog? (Just leave a comment if you do)

It certainly seems that the price of a lot of tech is getting cheaper these days and too be honest it’s about time, but the big question is, are we going to lose books altogether, it would be a shame if we do!

Hi Karen,
Tech is getting cheaper all the time – and you’re right, it is about time. I predict that the entry level Kindle will dip below $ 50 by next summer – maybe even sooner than that. I don’t think that we will be losing books altogether. Not any time soon at least.
Good post. It is good that there is competition to Amazon Kindle Fire. I have also blog about Kindle Fie. You can check it if you like..
